Welcome To Digital Edge : Your Search Engine Optimisation Consultant For London
Who We Are
We are Digital Marketing & SEO Consultants with expertise in search engine optimisation, Pay Per Click advertising & sales conversion, across London & the UK.
While that may sound grandiose, we are small & friendly and have one aim: to get your website ranking highly in Google and for you to reap the rewards.
What We Do
Quite simply we specialise in getting you more clients/customers from the Internet.
Unlike other SEO experts, we build sustainable rankings and then make sure that all translates to bottom line profits for you, by making sure your website is converting visitors to customers
Why Choose Us For SEO?
There are many factors with optimising a website and getting it to the top. Firstly we need to make sure that bots (or spiders) can crawl it without issue. Next we ensure there are no technical problems preventing it from being indexed, or that may prevent it from ranking.
We also need to make sure that it won't fall foul (or hasn't
already done so) of the Panda & Penguin
Then we need to address the on page factors, which may involve extra text content and tweaking.
Once all the on page factors are in place, we then move on to the "off page factors. These are the incoming links from a variety of sources, that act as "votes" for your websites.
Each project is different. And we will consult with you every
step of the way.
Ok, but what do you do different?
Firstly, we are in it for the long haul. We don't do quick fixes that will be short lasting.
We use our 14 year experience, to judge the fine line between compliance with Google's Webmaster Guidelines and what's needed for actual ranking success.
Obtaining top rankings is a matter of being better than your competitors; while they are hiring "cheap" SEO companies, with us, you will have a skilled SEO consultant who is busy making sure Google will love your website and applying our "secret sauce" to give you site authority.
What's the cost?
We don't charge £100 a month. If you can't afford to invest in your website, with a professional SEO consultant, then please don't go with super cheap services as they'll likely end up doing you more harm than good.
We charge a fair amount based on the work involved and our expertise, and the ROI that you as a business owner will receive. As every London business has different needs, and a different level of work required, we tailor prices to each customer.

What is SEO?
Each search query (the keyword or keyword phrases inputted to arrive at a list of relevant websites) is different and gives different results; therefore, the focus is first on deciding what keyword phrases are applicable for a website, before doing any optimisation work.
Nowadays, there are a lot of different search results ranging from images through to local search and video search. What wesbite ranks where, is down to a myriad of factors which we'll explore here; ranging from website architecture through to the on page content, incoming links and HTML web coding, just to name a few.
Following the creation of the World Wide Web in 1990, websites began springing up and it became clear that a method to catalogue and find relevant websites was needed. This led to the birth of search engines such as Alta Vista, Infoseek, Lycos and others, with todays dominant heavyweight Google, being formed in 1998.
Webmasters quickly realised that by appearing at the top of search results, their sites would get more visitors (and usually make more money) and so Search Engine Optimisation was born.
At first, the factors to determine ranking were simple; things like the amount of times a keyword was repeated on the website, and included in the meta tags. However, this was easily “gamed” by webmasters in the know, leading to junky results. Google established itself quickly, due to it's use of off page factors such as the number and weighting of incoming links. “Pagerank” is Google's way of determining the authority of a website, based on the number and quality of incoming links to it, which act like votes.
Since the early days, the algorithms
used to determine search rankings have constantly evolved,
to ensure the likes of Google stay ahead of “spammers”
who seek to unfairly influence rankings and ensure that results
returned are accurate and fair.
